If death is the awfully big and sudden adventure at the end,
then the aim of life must be to live through as many smaller, slower adventures as possible before that end.
The journey started quite some time ago, but it'll be ongoing here at The Slow Adventure
Come back for stories about long walks, guitars and harmonicas, long distance horse rides, good trips on bad bicycles, festivals, kayaking (and my book Paddle; A long way around Ireland), birdwatching, simple travel, trains and hitching, odd pilgrimages, bizarre photos, snatches of sound, lightweight hiking kit, classic travel books, cowboys of the world, transhumant tribes, sailing wooden boats, the best way to cook mackerel and anything else that catches my eye, sets me off on a trip or enthuses me. And hopefully you, too.
